Why did Donald John T select Reince P to be his Chief of Staff and why did Reince P accept? Anyone have a clue?

During the campaign Reince P suggested that Donald John T withdraw. Reince P was always an outsider. Part of the Hated Establishment/Swamp. He was never an insider. So it is very puzzling that Reince was chosen/accepted/lasted for 6 months. If Donald John allows General Kelly to be short-circuited/gone around/ignored he will have a huge problem. Will  Donald John ALLOW the new Chief of Staff to do his job or will he take control again and relegate him to the pile of useless lackies/toadies? How long d'ya think a  GENERAL would put up with that kinda crap? Place your bets.

    Trump was strongly urged to select Priebus precisely because he was perceived as a Washington insider, with contacts deemed valuable to a President new to the world of DC politics. But it was an oil and water combination from the start. Trump perceived Priebus as weak, and his inability to use whatever influence he did have to help deliver on healthcare was reportedly the final straw for his tenure at the White House.

    As for General Kelly, I don't hold out much hope for his taking control at 1600 Pennsylvania. Look what happened to HR McMaster. Within a couple of months, he was on the useless toady list and out lying to the press like a pro. Trump is toxic. Anyone in his atmosphere gets poisoned.
