Discussion»Questions»Human Behavior» Used to be "I didn't know he/she would do that/say that/was like that." NOW it's "I knew. I just don't care". When did caring stop? Why?
A lot of it's the constant criticism of Trump. Makes people tune out, thus having the opposite reaction of what the critics intend. People are capable of gathering information when they want it. But having it thrown at them on a steady basis is never going to change any minds. They're well aware of his character flaws. What they need is factual information about how those character flaws are impacting their wallets and daily lives. That's what brought so many people, including Trump supporters, out to protest the proposed health care bill.
I disagree with thee Lyric. Every day in every way Donald Trump does/says something worthy of comment. Something disgusting or outrageous or cruel or unkind. Saying nothing about it changes nothing. Pretending it isn't there is not my cuppa tea. Also there are folks who don't keep up with the news and so in commenting/talking about it/pointing out his latest "can you believe it?" brings information to them. I do agree in discussing him one doesn't need to address him as Doofus Donny. However doing so pleases me so I do it. He is also Donald John T, The Donald, Mr. Trump. He is a many-faceted person. None of them good in my opinion. When we point out FACTS we are accused of spreading fake news. I do know that pointing out the truth about anything to anyone if it involves someone whom they worship is useless. They see no warts. Only beauty marks. But one tries anyway to get through to them. So thank you for your reply and Happy Tuesday to thy (it rhymes)! :)
