  • "Sunbeam Hot Shot/ Hot Water Dispenser"

    (purchased in the early nineties)
and I hope it never breaks because
the reviews on the newer models
    are all bad.

  • You can't get the older model anymore, except maybe on E-Bay,
and the newer ones are suppose to be junk in comparison.

  • We had that exact model growing up. It worked for a long time. The only thing that broke was the little door on top. After that we bought a new one and it seems to be okay, but it doesn't feel as well-built.

  • Not well-built was part of many of the product reviews.

I have a Farberware toaster that's close to 50 years old.

  • All our appliances are fairly new, though I own a Hoover Celebrity vacuum from the early 1980s. I bought it off eBay and I find it works better than many new vacuum cleaners.

Everything here is new except for my hot air popcorn popper, hand mixer,  and waffle maker; I bought those around 2012.  New house, new appliances....well, one year old now.
