What happens if other countries band to together and engage in trade leaving the US out alone on its own? Anything bad?

    Are you suggesting that trade from other countries be shut off to us and what would we do?  Well, we may be able to rest on our own laurels as far as getting by with what this country offers by way of supplies, but what about the money we lose when other countries are not buying a thing from us?

    If a customer is willing to spend half a trillion dollars (in 2016) in the "world store," why would the world seek to refuse to sell to the USA?

    The global economy would collapse.
    Maybe China will eventually be able to take up the slack, but they would have to change from a communist government.
