Employers: How do you feel about your employees hating you?

And yes, they ALL hate you. Even the ones that you think are "good" employees still seethe with hatred.

I don't like being a hate magnet; therefore, I do not employ anything ever.

  • I have had employers whom I've hated and several on who's face I'd like to defecate.  The greatest part of my hatred is directed at customers more than at an employer. Customers. more than the employer, make my day miserable.  My current employer pays me well enough for what is required.  I have insurance and benefits so I'm happier but not happy.  How can one be happy at work?  It is a place of punishment,  I never really believe people who proclaim, "I love my job!"

It's okay with me because I hate them also. I'm able to survive because I have a full beard. There was one employee a couple of weeks back - he has a goatee - well, I noticed him looking at my beard. And he had a disapproving look on his face, you could tell he didn't like it. So I look right back at him, with a look that said; "dude, you have a goatee, you don't win this one, goatees don't beat beards". I held my stare. You know what he did? He broke. He looked the other way. He lost. I PROVED MY POINT!

My employees liked me but wouldn't do anything I asked them to.  I quit!

  • I was never an employer, but I was the boss of a crew before and I tried to earn their respect by working right a long side them and showing them that I can and have done their job.
I would make a point of hanging out with mg crew during breaks, lunch etc. and talking and joking around with them.
Some disliked me no matter what I did because I was new and they didn't like change, it did bother me and I did want to be liked and be a great boss.
The new workers I hired listened well and everything was cool.
I knew that I didn't have to be their friend and if they wanted a paycheck they had to listen to me, but I did want them to respect me and I was hoping they would like me or maybe even love me, LoL!
Anyway I only did that job for a little while before I moved into a different position, but I remember thinking that being the boss wasn't worth it, it was like babysitting adults and I'd rather just work for someone else.

Your employees hating you possibly means you're doing your job. This post was edited by Beans/SilentGeneration at August 8, 2017 3:12 PM MDT

Why do many  children say they hate their parents?...

Possibly when admonished, by the parent or employer, for not following a system of rules..correcting conduct and procedures make some angry/hateful...
