    Yes, it's OK, especially as you get to the back part where it anchors to the throat. Not my favorite though. My grandparents, especially my grandfather, loved it, and beef heart too.

    No.  The first time I saw it on a menu was in a little neighborhood Jewish deli.  I thought it was a joke!  I couldn't imagine.

    Yes.  Beef tongue is one of the choices for tacos at a Mexican restaurant near me so I tried it.  It's not that much different from regular beef.
