Should we be less concerned with ourselves all the time and more concerned with others?

    Yes, dear, we should.  The truly blessed are those that can do this on a regular basis.

    I am very guilty of wanting to do my own thing and not want to get involved with helping others.  I have to force myself to go out there and volunteer to help others.  I know that is the best part of me, when I put others before me, but I am really needing to get lots more practice. 

    I just love my free time and that is not the way to be.

    Excellent answer... and I think that your thinking was pretty much why I asked.. I think sometimes I am so wrapped up in how  I feel about this, the feeling of being put upon, overworked etc. etc.. that I forget that not everything is about me.. If I stopped being so concerned with myself and how I think, feel etc. I might just notice more about other people and what they feel, think, need. I need more practice too.
