US Navy's flight demonstration squadron. The are awesome. The US Air Force's equivalent, The Thunderbirds were here in Toledo last summer. The did a fly-by directly over my house

at about five hundred feet. It was awesome.

Guess i'd have to take a few barf bags along. I'm kind of sensitive to motion sickness.

I was guessing Blue Angels were a new league of motorcyclists -something like that.

(Pardon my ignorants -I stopped reading newspapers and haven't watched TV now for years). This post was edited by Kittigate at August 19, 2017 7:53 AM MDT

That is because you eat lots of porridge and are busy fighting off bears and moose and shoveling snow.

At one time I would have jumped at the chance, but anymore? Not so much. I can only ride along in my mind with the likes of Brian Shul.

He trained Thunderbird pilots when he wasn't driving a "sled" (SR-71). After retirement he flew again with both the Thunderbirds and the Blue Angels, took a bunch of great photos of them (and other precision flyers) and published some great books.

For a quick idea of how Brian's talks go I give you a link to just the "LA Center" story . . .

You have that right!  I really prefer to see that kind of show from pretty far away, but it is surprising there aren't more accidents.

  • I wouldn't have the courage to ride anywhere with them.
