    I have 6 parakeets.  It's all I can handle.  I'm not ready to do an exotic bird.  I mean the larger ones that live for decades.    They just need more attention than I can handle.  I love them, but it wouldn't be fair to the bird.     Thats wise of you my darling. Parakeets are exotic, there re just from Australia is all. Your right about taking alot of work, mine never spends time in his cage, he is always out with us. We even take him on vacation with us.
