    No and no and I wouldn't own a Doberman or a Rottweiler, even though I think Rotties are beautiful dogs.

    I don't like dogs that even look like they will kill you. It would be the one breed I'd steer clear from. I'm more of a golden retriever and/or border collie type of guy.

    We have had pit bulls and they were all great dogs.
    They were sweet and loving and very smart.
    The problem with them and other breeds is over inbreeding and bad training.
    One of the best dogs we ever had was an American Pit, and we still miss him.
