Like a dead fish that's been eaten by a shark, pooped out and eaten again by lesser lifeforms.

You realize of course that that doesn't make any sense, don't you?

What does it mean to purge your members list? Why would you want to do this? Am i on your hit list Randy D? ;O

To purge means to weed out the unnecessary or the unneeded, the chaff.  I purge my AnswerMug Friends List every now and then to delete people from it who are no longer active on the website (haven't logged in for six months, for instance).  Also, there are people who sent me a friend request, I accepted it, then there's no contact with them after that.  They get purged.
(Now you see why "purse" makes no sense here.)

But why do you penalize those who are gone for six months. What if they were hospitalized or out of the Country?

It's not a penalty, it's just that there's no reason to hang onto them if they don't even participate, especially the second group of people I mentioned, those who want to be friends but then leave the website entirely without ever doing anything here.  Either way, if I delete someone who later returns and/or begins to interact more often, then they have the option of initiating a friend-request, or if I notice them, I may initiate one.

Believe me, not being on Randy D's list of friends is NO punishment!

Oh. Maybe I should check before I ask who I want to be my friend. I just randomly ask people. Occasionally I regret it.

Thanks for the reassurance. I wouldn't want to go on if I weren't on your friends list.

Stop rolling your eyes like that, or you'll end up cross-eyed.  And why are you laughing so hard?
