Unless McGregor gets lucky, it won't even be close. Mayweather will give him a boxing lesson and get an unanimous decision.

I agree, but is Floyd still the same Floyd at 40 yrs old and with 2 yrs out?

He still knows how. McGregor is a slugger, all Floyd needs to do is stay away - or do what Ali did against Foreman, make him waste his energy by missing.

Not quite. The purse estimate is around $390m, with Mayweather getting 70%.

Don King. (Or whoever is promoting the fight.)

Floyd is a promoter himself these days, TMT (the money team) is his own promotion company, so I guess he's promoting it himself.

If Mayweather is the promoter then he will get the lion's share of the money. (Think of all that PPV cash!)

    Mayweather wins
He is the art of dancing around
    and staying away from punches
Would bet it is a boring fight

He may be able to do that for 7-8 rounds, but at 40 he won't have the same engine as he used to. He may be vulnerable in the later rounds with 29 yr old McGregor who will be able to maintain the same pace/tempo as the early rounds.

Unless Mayweather wears him down by making him miss. Which he will, he's a wily old fox and knows all the tricks.

  • Mayweather should carry the day. However, McGregor is nuts and could get lucky.

Hey, righty1 -- I'm sorry for this message instead of an answer - - your profile page on my computer is just a mess of a page of questions and part-comments you've given to others - - my profile page has appeared this way to me at times, too

Anyway, I was going to message you but I was unable to get to the "Send a Message" link --
    the message --

    - - Is this McGregor the guy you really like? And is he used as your avatar? I hope HE wins!! Is he the LET'S GO CHAMP! guy? I simply couldn't remember if he was, sorry! (And, selfish me, I find him the MUCH more handsome of the two contenders!)

  • In a boxing bout, the boxing champion has the advantage. I am rather certain that Floyd Mayweather will win, unless the bout has a script that says otherwise.

  • I was quite correct. Mayweather did win in Round Ten.
