How do you feel when your partner checks out other people?

If someone is beautiful, they are beautiful.

If I am with someone who is supposed to love me, they'd better be respectful as to how they respond to beauty.

If they are acting like an ass and acting like they wish they had that?  Then it is time to let them have that and take off and find someone who is not going to try and better-deal me the second they have a chance.

That is not insulting to ME.  It shows what an insecure ahole I thought I loved.

  • I would never do what that guy in the picture did, but I have noticed other women before and sometimes my ex wife would point them out to me and say "Wow, I bet you like her butt" then she'd laugh at me because I'd get embarrassed and have to smile.
She knew that I saw the woman go by no matter how discreet I tried to be about it. : ) This post was edited by Benedict Arnold at August 24, 2017 5:20 PM MDT

I could not care- she will never find anyone as good looking,  intelligent and with such a great personality like me.

  • "Checking-out is fine" ...  rubbing it in, like Mr. Indiscreet in the picture, is a good way to be alone.

He can look at the menu but he'd better not order anything.

Doesn't bother me. If I do it, then he can do it too. But I agree with the rest - be respectful and courteous of my feelings while doing so.

  • I just saw this somewhere online and I'm not saying that I agree with it, but do you guys think it applies to this question?

I think this is in a similar vein, yes. My response to this is that if a person doesn't get jealous when someone else has their partner's attention, it may just mean that they don't give a sh*t. In other words, If I believe I'm worth complete and full attention and my partner isn't giving me that (in the big picture), then that's my partner's loss. Doesn't make me jealous - just helps me weed through the bad partners. ;)

Pertaining to this question specifically, I think it's a reach. Doesn't always apply, ya know?

Strikes me as applying to immature, insecure people playing games.

  • I guess so.
I never thought of jealousy as a good thing either.
I actually think the opposite may be true.
People who are constantly jealous and paranoid that they are being cheated on may feel that way only because they have or would like to cheat themselves.
My ex used to have nightmares about me cheating with some blonde woman and she'd get mad at me over her dreams, LoL!
Then she's the one who ended up cheating in real life.

Maybe it's because I'm older but I have absolutely no tolerance for BS and games. Like I said, that's the arena for the immature and insecure. I refuse to waste precious time on such nonsense. Makes me want to say "come back when you grow up and if I'm still available, we'll talk."
