Raw or always cooked bh? I don't think of fish as exotic but I did have a taste of a friend's AHI TUNA which was raw but it didn't taste raw because it was in some kind of marinade that kinda "cooked" it. Much like Ceviche which I like a lot. It is raw fish BUT they use a lime-based marinade that magically changes the texture of the fish. It's really very tasty. Thank you for your reply. You're not a sushi/sashimi guy? One of those is raw. I keep for getting which one! Thank you for your reply! :)
I like my native Lake Erie fish. Walleye or Yellow Perch. If I'm gonna spend money on it, I'll take Walleye. Funny name, but good eatin'. It is always cooked.
My dad used to LOVE Perch bh! I was born in Highland Park, Michigan so maybe that's where he got his love for it? In Michigan? What is Walleye? Is that a type of fish like Tilapia or Flounder or Catfish? I think I've heard it but I'm not sure in what context. Fish is very healthy providing you don't eat farm-raised and only eat wild caught! Thank you for your reply and Happy Saturday. :)
My best friend is from Japan. She cooks native dishes if she can locate all of the ingredients. Once, my plate had a whole lobster and several shrimp. When I touched them with my chopsticks they moved. They were still alive. Live shrimp and lobster is a delicacy in Japan she told me. She also said that Koreans swallow live baby squid whole. We have a friend from China. She told us about Chinese food. Dog meat is a delicacy in South China. Some Chinese eat rats. Some Chinese dishes she mentioned sound exotic to me, e.g. bird's nest soup, calf brain soup, sea slugs, five penis tea, etc. I have not tried any of these items.
