It would be hard for me to imagine anyone who still respects a man who literally says that the wall is more important than the governement, so in other words more important than the country..
Thank you for your reply Addb. Humpty Dumpty Trump's days are numbered. I'm doing a countdown markdown markout. Of course I don't KNOW the end date now but I can still X out each day because it is one day less of this nightmare which means that with every day the end comes closer! :)
Wow. That was telling... You consider the government to be equivalent to the country. It is no such thing. Government is just a bureaucracy and most of what it does is unnecessary and a waste of resources. It's business that is the engine of society. It's business that is root cause of all wealth and prosperity.
A shutdown of the government has no long term effects whatsoever. Open borders are an existential threat to a country. All it takes is a few million leftist immigrants to gets citizenship, the scales of democracy tip permanently left, and the U.S. is finished. The border should be secured by any means necessary. The border is the country, not the government.
I consider the wall largely symbolic because people will just climb over it. Though symbols are powerful things. It sends a clear f*** you to Mexico and a clear f*** you to all the traitors on the left who want their country overrun.
