After getting home from the store and realizing you forgot to pay for an item, would you go back and pay for it?

Yes.  I once put some fishing weights in my pocket and, after buying other things, walked out of the store without paying for the weights.  Years later when that store was going out of business, I went in and offered to pay for the weights.  It was my last change to even things up.
