My house would never or has never looked like that. EVER. I am the type of person that if I stayed somewhere and saw that? I would clean it up. I would start throwing out cigarettes and booze bottles for starters.
Oh God.
I meant I am a slob because I tend to pull everything out when I am doing a project and it can sit there for days. But in one room until I am done. It never smells or has filth in it, but it may be STREWN with paints and pictures and stuff like that.
I'm painting a rosy picture though. I have had rooms where I have neglected picking up and won't let anyone in there for weeks. But no dirt and no smell. GOD NO.
I like the nose on this "filth camp" counselor. At first glance I thought it was a heart. But, at second glance, it looks like an alien sniffing out the mess and filth people leave behind. Lord knows, I could use him around our house sometimes. Winks and smiles !
At the moment, I would sadly have to say Don and me. BUT, in our defense, (like all good messy people have) I would like to say it is because we have been remodeling. We have things stuck in cupboards that will probably be in the void there until we finish the cupboards in the kitchen. We have socks in drawers they should never see and clean clothes mixed with dirty clothes. The one thing we do not have is overflowing ashtrays or beer cans sitting around. We are really good about the kitchen being clean, left overs and recycling. At the moment, we are not so good about our clothes. Finally, it is only temporary. Soon, things will be back to normal. Like in 2018. AAAAhhhhhhhhhhhhhh! It drives us both crazy. I think it is a little self abuse we put ourselves through. With both of us working, it makes the remodel a little slower than usual. But, we are doing it. Ugh! It is a real drag in the process.

I hereby grant you a pass for remodeling. That can be brutal, and almost impossible to keep things clean while it's happening. Been there! Done that! Don't want to do it again!
Thanks LyricalOne :) :)!! I'm tellin' ya, it is a mess. One would think with Don being a contractor, we would have this done lickety-split. On the contrary, no one likes to do what they do for a living once they get home. Here nor there, it is a slow process but one that I hope will pay off in the end. More to the point, I hope yours turned out beautifully! It's nice to be back and be among friends! Love, Merlin
