I admire righteousness period..“ behavior that is morally justifiable or right.” Such behavior is characterized by accepted standards of morality, justice, virtue, or uprightness.

Righteousness is a little tricky. Some very religious folks who are racists are quite self-righteous. I know that righteous and self-righteous are not the same. But it's tricky. Different folks with different strokes define righteous by what they think is desirable. Many of them you would not want to dine with or chat with or have anything to do with. Thank you for your reply Beans/SG! :)

“Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, but not their own set of facts. ” Daniel Patrick Moynihan...  Hypocrisy is always in the self-righteous... This post was edited by Beans/SilentGeneration at September 4, 2017 4:05 AM MDT

Yes. I have heard that before Beans/SG. I agree. However I'm not sure how that relates to my question. They believe their views ARE the facts. Some say they follow Doofus Donny tweets because he is their only dependable source of truth. Every other source is fake to them because he says so. I don't know how many millions of people sincerely believe that. So their "righteousness" IS based on what they believe to be facts. That such view seems absurdly ludicrous to those of us who think the Doofus NEVER ever tells the truth is beside the point. Their heads are made up and that's that. They don't think they're hypocrites. They think they are the truthseekers. Seriously. That's why we have such a huge problem in America. Truth is not the same to us. You have THE TRUTH and then you have TRUMPTRUTH. Sad, ain't it? Thank you for your reply

  • I admire them, but sometimes feel a little jealousy, especially of people with great artistic abilities.

I don't have a jealous bone in my body NevanB. I have never felt jealous or envious of anyone in my entire life. I'm almost 80! I admire a lot of people. Some I disadmire if ya get my drift. But jealous? Nope. I think it is a destructive emotion and harms the person who feels it. It never touches the target. How does that make any sense? It doesn't. Just my opinion. Thank you for your reply and Happy Sunday to thee! :)

There are many people I admire, for many reasons.. I will often aspire to be more like them, or to learn certain things from them...I see this as a good thing :)
