There is no need if you have no dependents. We should leave our estate in order with enough designated for end of life expenses, but I don't believe it is necessary to anyone to get money because I die. People will get money when I die but not through life insurance other than some policies provided by my former employer. It seems to me people are little insurance crazy. I'm just not one of them. I don't buy "extended warranties/service plans" either. Ever.

This was supposed to be a silly comment to your silly comment. But if you are going to turn it into seriousness, I would never bother with life insurance myself.
No point unless you have dependants for whom you wish to provide.
If you want to save for your funeral you'd be better doing so by an ordinary savings-account rather than a funeral plan, because the admin fees are far less (they are taken from the interest the bank makes on your money, but at lower rates than an insurance company will charge).
