No, lots of other people in the area are being forced to, but I should be safe enough where I am. It's mostly people in mobile homes and on lower grounds that have to evacuate.
I've got Irma knocking on my door. I reserved a hotel up in Georgia but decided to stay here. I'm not sure that was smart. I've got to fill bags with sand in the morning. I was too tired tonight. Pray for us. Patchouli too.
Did you atleast get some supplies? Unfortunately for me, the hordes have already ravaged all the stores and I couldn't get much. It's a good thing I have a huge candle collection, though.
Everything was gone from the stores Sunday night/Monday noonish. I happened to be in a store Tuesday when water pallets were being brought in and grabbed 13 cases. There are two of us and I have to drink more than what is considered normal. I bought good breads, peanut butter, fruits, veggies we like raw, chocolate. I'm on the West side and hoping we don't get the surge. I decided not to bolt when the forecast changed to an East Coast landing but now the forecasts are all over the place. I could not find gasoline either until tonight. That's part of why I didn't leave. I will say my county EMS did not open shelters or provide sand bags because they don't think we will get the storm surge. They advised for everyone to Shelter In Place. I don't know why they can't just say Stay Home. :) Stay safe!

I think I'm gonna stay and just hope it doesn't get too bad. They're suggesting evacuation here, but it's not mandatory. Atleast I got my car filled up before all the gas disappeared. But the only good food I can find was canned fish so I stocked up on those.
