.
Oh I just remembered a dream from last night. I saw Joanne Worley. We bumped into each other walking down the street or coming out of a building or both, she had very short hair and looked really good. Also taller than me.
I said Oh Hi, I love your work your have given me a lot of happy times in my life. Talk to you later and went on my way. She just smiled. that was it.
I saw the guy who played Super Hans in the TV show, "Peep Show", at London Euston last month. But as it was inside the train station, and not outside on the street, I guess it doesn't count. lol
I've seen many celebs. But I've never seen one walking down the street.
I'm not familiar with Joanne Worley. I wasn't talking about dreams either. I once saw Mick Hucknall (singer with Simply Red) walking down Deansgate in Manchester. At least I'm assuming it was him, he looked exactly like Mick Hucknall. Nobody said anything to him he was just another face in the crowd. Lol:)
Never.
Never
I saw Sean Connery walking in Central Park New York.
I was walking down the street and took out my mirror and gazed into it in adoration.
hi Andy B -- I know Jo Anne Worley most from the TV comedy show "Laugh-In." She was one person of a very funny ensemble cast.
:)
More than ten years ago, I'd say.
I saw singer Kenny Chesney in a parking lot. (He was actually exercising -- skipping really big around [ what I later found out was] his touring bus.) We started talking a bit -- I started the conversation saying that I, too, skip like that sometimes in my exercising I had no idea who he was until some people in the nearby building mobbed me, telling me who I was talking to after seeing us through the window.
He seemed a nice guy.
:)
Never. We don't have any celebrities strolling around when I've lived.
When you've lived? Are you sure you don't mean where you've lived? Lol:)
I haven't seen that, Welby.
I've heard of Kenny Chesney but I probably wouldn't recognise him if I did see him. It was in 1998 when I spotted Mick Hucknall in Manchester.
Have you ever seen Johnny Nash in Cashville? Lol:)
Hi Andy B!
"Laugh-In" was a fast-paced comedy variety sketch show in the USA. Here's an episode. Jo Anne Worley appears at the 0:50 seconds mark. The show had a lot of 'catch' phrases -- "Sock It To Me" was a big one (which is said a lot in the opening minute-or-so here in the clip). I watched several little bits here but watching now, the show doesn't seem so funny -- but watching week-after-week was fun with the show's completely over-the-top silliness.
:)
Yeah, even after talking to Kenny Chesney for several minutes up close, I'd still not recognize him, ha! And at the time, like I said, I had no idea who he was. Your sighting is MUCH better!
:)
Maybe I'll look for an image of Chesney, ha!
Here's one ~
I don't know why this made me laugh, but it did.
It's not an exact answer, but I recall watching Howard Marks amble past the car I was sitting in, at a motorway service station off the M4. That would be somewhere between 2006 and 2009, I think.
I wouldn't have known who that guy was if you hadn't said it was Kenny Chesney. I still doubt if I would recognise him in the street even after seeing that. Lol:)
Your timing is a bit vague, isn't it? I remember the actual date when I saw Mick Hucknall walking down Deansgate in Manchester, it was Saturday, September 12th 1998. I even remember what the weather was like, it wasn't a very nice day. There were several squally showers including hailstones a couple of times. How do I remember all this so vividly? Simple. The number 255 reminds me of it all (it was the 255th day of the year, you see).
