Hurricane Jose right behind Irma has just upgraded to a CAT 4. Behind that is Katia and behind that? Are we there yet? At the edge of what?

Geez Articfox I can't remember an "ever" like this before. Sure we've had hurricanes but so many and so large and so close together? The folks in its path must feel like sitting ducks. The current hurricane is much larger than the state of Florida is wide so where you are there you will be in its path! Right behind it comes Jose which was upgraded to a cat 4 yesterday. Then Katia. Mother Nature seriously wants to get our attention. I wonder what will be left to salvage? When it hits it flattens so much..destroys so much. Then the aftermath will be floods and storm surges and maybe even tsunamis?. As I write this it all seems so surreal.  As if it were a movie. Thank you for your reply. SIGH. The hurricane is supposed to hit Florida sometime tomorrow I think. Fingers crossed.
