thank you baba, the worst of the storm is past us-we still have strong winds and rain, our power is still out- we have a lot of trees around our house and they knocked out the power lines, but the most important thing is that my family is safe. I hope that everyone else that is still in the path of the storm is safe.
Thank you Shar to the Rona, Today, we finally got the power on in our house. It took 5 days for the city to fix the power lines. I'm thankful to be in my house again and safe. Thanks again to everyone on amug for your well wishes.
We lost power an hour ago and am running the internet off my sons phone. We were running it off the generator, but lost the internet a minute ago, so our internet provider must have lost power too. Irma has been down graded to a severe tropical storm here, (winds 40-60mph) but the threat is mainly tornadoes they say. The worst of the storm should be here in a couple of hours. Ill get back to you then. ;)
OMG SHar to the Rona. We just looked out the balcony (we live on the marsh) and the water is starting to rise. The title surge is coming in. Its suppose to be six to eight feet at the ocean which is nine miles away. Hopefully it wont be so bad when it reaches us. It doesnt look like its coming in too fast, so we will probably be ok. We just noticed it now. ;O
Thanks for the update. We'll be thinking of you and I hope you can get your power back, but that could take a while. Sorry to hear about all the flooding today.
