Have you ever rebuilt a home in the EXACT SAME SPOT your prior home was wiped out/destroyed? WHY?

  • I've never had a home destroyed. But after the Angora Fire at Lake Tahoe in 2007, many people rebuilt their homes in the exact same spots. It's a show of resilience, I guess. Also, as far as wildfires go, any place is prone to a wildfire. So a new unburned spot isn't necessarily any safer.

I think calling it "resilience" is exceedingly kind of you m'dear. I won't tell you the word that comes to my mind because it would be rude. So I'm gonna stifle it. Thank you for your reply Nevan B! :)
