Is there someone you'd like to become emotionally closer with but just can't bridge the gap?

Knowing how people can be on the internet, I'm not going to ever be bridging anything.

Understandable. It really is a risky proposition.

  • Maybe you?

Will you tell me about yourself LyricalOne?
    Are you married?
    Got kids?
    How old are you?
What do you like about yourself?

I'm a riddle, wrapped in a mystery, inside an enigma, covered in a soft, flaky shell.

Hmm.  For once you have me stumped.  I become as close as I want to be with people and, I don't really think (or realize?) there's a gap.   Might be one of my personality flaws.  I dunno.  Are you talking about a romantic relationship or just creating a close friendship in which you can fully trust someone?

Family relationship. The love is there but I can't break through their emotional wall. With life being so short, that really makes me sad.  :-(

Oh. Eye sea.  I keep hoping they forget I'm alive.

Serious response now: I'm really sorry that's happening to you.  :-(

Thanks. I just feel it more acutely with the passage of time. When you're young, you think you have forever to improve your relationships.

The only "gap" is one of being present.  We are connected in every other way.  In ways other couples are not.

So is there anyone in your life where my question would apply?

It seems being emotionally close with people is not so difficult for me. I've been told I'm very approachable/easy-to-get-to-know-and-share-things-with etc. A good number of people feel emotionally close to me.
Interestingly, though I'm emotionally close with a couple of, to me, special guys -- it's my desire to go beyond the emotional stuff to a more intimate physical aspect and that gap seems not to be bridged as of now.

Definitely another tough gap to navigate.
