(Sad)) history repeating itself?

In the current atmosphere within the US, increasing racial violence in the cities, epic incompetence and corruption in govt, disinformation in the media, turmoil in international relations, who else sees the unsettling parallels to the 1960's?

    Very concise, Baba.
I suggest that for all the empty sensationalist campaign bluster about making America Great Again (when was the previous time?) that Trump will create further division and turmoil for the US, both within and without.

Well at least the 60's had some decent music out of it. The stuff these poor kids have to listen to today is background music while paining your walls or doing the dishes at best. It isn't art. Hopefully somebody will become inspired and we can get a renaissance. We can only hope.

Ever notice how easy it was to understand the lyrics in those oldies?  I can barely understand anything in today's "music."

That's because they were saying nothing over and over and over again.

Some of it was terrific.  Some of it was cringe-worthy and it was time to move on to more heady material.

Now it is backwards.  Now there is no message and it is so garbled it doesn't matter half the time.

This stuff made me never want to turn the radio on.

Yes, some of it was horrid, but most of it was a lot better than it is today.

And for the umpteenth time. The 'philosophical justification' for the Luddism is a bit different right now, but it is the same old rot.

Trump's obstruction of justice is more an echo of the following decade - 1973 to be precise.
