I feel a bit similar to Harry in not wanting to toot my horn but I will anyway - - or, at least, Ill fill in some details.
Spelling, Writing/Essay competitions, Dance Choreography Awards, Acting awards, Running/Track awards - - I was a very fast sprinter; still fast, Piano performance competitions, Bowling. Those come to my mind at the moment.
Both of your questions tonight are very hard for me to respond to Jaimie. I never talk about this because it makes me uncomfortable, feeling as if I'm tooting my own horn but, I hate that very few people are answering your questions tonight. :-(
I won a couple of awards for tutoring kids younger than me when I was in high school. I won awards in both Math and English. I won awards in the shot put, discus, and the 100 yard dash. Not too bad for a kid who cut school a lot. lol. Don't ask me where the awards are. I never really paid attention to them and I think my mother threw them away.
I was a pretty good shot with a bow and arrow when I was in grade school. We had a neighborhood archery club and I won some trophies within our own little group run by the parents. No big deal.
I won a "class clown" award for being the best in my clowning class. :) I actually still have it. The teacher went out and bought me this little crystal clown figurine to commemorate it.
Aside from that, the usual... writing awards, mostly. A couple of basketball trophies too.
