I heard the "Moody Blues" finally got nominated to the R&R Hall of fame. Should the group snub the Hall? That would be ironic.

I would.

I don't think that they have really been snubbed.

Playboy magazine used to, on an annual basis, do a list of the top 10 "party" (hardest drinking) schools in the USA (maybe they still do that list). One particular year one school that had quite the reputation (don't remember which one, might have been Michigan or OSU, or UVA) didn't appear on the list.  A then recent alumni was offended by that omission and wrote a letter of complaint to the magazine. A simple explanation for the apparent omission was forthcoming. The editor explained that the competition was for amateurs and as such their school didn't qualify for consideration because of its "professional" standing in that arena . . . .

And so it is with the Moody Blues. They are just so damn good it's not fair to others to be compared to them. Can you name another group like them that can get the London Philharmonic to be their "band" any time they want?

You are indeed correct. I often watch them on youtube live at the Albert Hall. Some of the performers that are in the Hall I wouldn't walk across the street to pee on their shadows.
