I support a bi-partisan effort to come to an agreement on a healthcare bill.  I believe Trump is doing this for the sole purpose of getting SOME kind of agreement about healthcare so that he can tout his ability to make a deal.  Trump's own words were that he wanted to come to a temporary agreement - a year or two - which is Trump's way of shoring up Republican support in the coming elections.  Schumer, to his credit, is adamant that the Dems will not support anything that looks like repeal and replace.

I think da prez is rubbing the noses of the pols in his party in (pardon the visual) excrement! He keeps going to the Dems to get something done. Pretty doggone humiliating to McConnell and Ryan if not the rest of the toady GOP wimps  AKA  Congress and Senate. Day by day it gets woise and woise.  Will we be here in one year going over the same territory? Someone talked about da prez running for re-election in 3 years. I mean if his a** isn't long gone by then due to impeachment or criminal charges/prison will there ever be any hope at all that justice will be served? I can't hardly stand it! I know. Double negative. Not cool but oh well! :( Anything goes these days including atrocious grammar! :(

This entire political landscape is so far from anything this country has ever seen that there's absolutely no way to predict what will happen three years from now.  He's never stopped campaigning - hence the rallies.  I think a lot of Republicans are not happy with him, but are less happy with the Democrats.  If the Dems can come up with a suitable candidate, maybe there will be a chance although I don't see anyone on the horizon for wich the Republicans can see themselves capitulating.
