    Aren't you forgetting the influence of daddy dearest? You know the guy who  wanted his dinner on the table precisely at 6pm...the house spotless..the children quiet and obedient and out of sight? Blaming the woman  is quite unacceptable to me. The strong women escaped the stereotype. The weak ones bought into it . Not all  women are weak. Not all men are threatened.
