Discussion»Questions»Life and Society» Would you rather be famous when you are alive and forgotten when you die or unknown when you are alive but famous after you die?
That's "could NOT care less". It means that you care about it so little that the measure of how much you care about it is so small that it can barely be calculated. Saying that you could care less has the opposite effect: you only lack caring about it to a certain point, but that could increase.
Or perhaps "couldn't care less". But "could not" care less sounds better. By the way, how is the punctuation and sentence structure in my responses? I used to be a stickler about it but as the years past I just began to wing it.
I try to be the best that I can be and to help as many as I can while I'm alive in hopes that they will pay it forward to others. However, when all is said and done, it won't matter to me if I'm famous when I'm alive and forgotten when I die or unknown when I'm alive but famous after I die. Mainly because I'll be dead and won't know it anyhow. The present is what's important.
