Google them...they destroyed Napa Valley and much of the surrounding areas.

I don't care.  This goes on every freaking year.  No change.

That's why I asked the question...I don't either. Gotta be some millenials here somewhere. They don't work.

  • Sure, why not? I've already heard plenty of BS going around about the fires. Sad to say most of them were probably caused by things as simple as downed power-lines. The intense winds turned what could've been minor fires put out in a few hours into raging infernos.

Many are caused naturally by lightning strikes. It is nature's way of cleansing areas with too much underbrush, leaving fertile ashy soil for new growth. We came along and messed up the natural order. It's similar to living on a flood plain, which to this day I don't understand.

  • Yes, by putting out natural fires, we cause the amount of underbrush and kindling to build up so that when a larger fire comes by, they are much more destructive. But then we would have to accept letting our houses burn every now and then, and most of the time, they don’t. This current firestorm is especially destructive (and the causes are currently unknown, though lightning is unlikely as there were no thunderstorms in the area). Thankfully the fires are at least starting to be contained now.
