Can you find a question for me about the painting by Gainsborough?
I just barely read it, went to look for the answer, Then came back and it was gone. I tried to find it in the arts, but failed. Such a good question I could answer.
What was the change in the way of viewing the world that made his landscape paintings so popular? In what ways do his portraits reflect the social conditions of the times? In what ways do his paintings reflect the Enlightenment? How did he contribute to the development of Romanticism? In what ways were his painterly techniques the forerunners of Modernism? What are the binaries in his paintings? What do his paintings exclude?

@Zenobia, you will have to research each question individually. Type the key words in with the name of the artist or the painting’s name, as The Enlightment Gainsborough Mr. and Mrs. Smith. That’s how I research.
