I've often suggested ideas or expressed opinions, especially in conversations or tutorials.
I sometimes suggest plans of action, say for fundraisers or campaigns for environmental causes. 
When it comes to plans for dates with friends, I initiate about 50% of the time.
I've never initiated or suggested making love unless already in an established sexual relationship.

For many sentences, a preposition is a great way to begin. 

I was in sales for 20 years.   I try to get there as soon as I can.  Let me keep making offers you cannot refuse until I get your credit card numbers.
