Rugby is played in two states, New South Wales and Queensland. Everybody else plays Australian football (I follow the MIGHTY Adelaide Crows who were runners-up this year). Both are winter sports. Summer, we all play cricket.
I see :) I always associated cricket with Europe. Also I thought Australian Football is what North Americans call "soccer". Guess I learned something new today.... More than just rugby in Australia :)
The only European nations that play cricket at a recognizable level are England (and Wales) and Ireland. India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh are fanatical about it and Australia isn't far behind, so is South Africa. Europe and South America are all about soccer (we call it that down here as well). Rugby is split into two codes - Australia is best in the world at the 13-a-side code, Rugby League. We used to be quite good at Rugby Union as well, but lately the Wallabies are so bad it's embarrassing. New Zealand are top of the world in Union, the All Blacks are scary good.

Last time I went bowling was candle pin bowling a few years back. There was an alley in my town. They went out of business. :-( I like bowling. It's fun when you have a group of people who all get drunker as the game goes on.
When you go bowling you can ask for bumper lanes! They're supposed to only be for kids but if whine enough they wil let you use them. No gutters so it's easy. Unless you're drunk and let go off the ball when your hand is swinging back.. then the ball just goes flying back into your friends and the bumper lanes don't help that.
