Do you "look down on" those who beliefs do not agree with yours? Whether religious, political, or otherwise? Why?

People are different. They have different preferences. Some things seem to be nonsense to them and some things make a lot of sense.  That's how we are wired. Does being rude or insulting come with the territory of feeling superior to others? It seems to and I just wonder why it isn't ok to be civil/polite to those with whom we disagree. Can anyone explain that to me?

It's always the other way around;  most people 'look down' on me for my non-belief religion wise but they just never bother to  think of all the advantages of being where I am at. I had to THINK to arrive where I am not just believe what I was told.

We are wired differently Kittigate. We are the product of our intellect/experience/environment/parents and we cannot escape that. I think looking down on folks because their beliefs are different from yours is sad. Your answer is very condescending and I bet you are unaware of it. You imply that thinking is what you do and those whose beliefs are different from yours just accept what they are told...i.e., they are unthinking. Is that what you really think?  Why? Thank you for your reply and Happy Sunday.

Well I usually do hink a bit before hogging a website with a lot of questions to consider if they are questions members might be interested in to reply to.
