If there were a fast-forward button in life I'd fast-forward through summer every year. If there were a mute button in life I'd mute the haters. What would you fast-forward through and/or mute? Why?

You can not fast forward or mute reality. Life is full of obstacles and people with different voices, viewpoints and opinions. When you ignore other opinions, you cease the ability to learn. When you become part of group thought, you cease the ability to think critically. When free speech becomes silent, you live in tyranny.

But I do agree Summer heat does suck, I am a Fall person.

I'd fast forward during the hottest days of summer - I don't do well in the heat. As for muting, I'd mute everyone who talks on their cell phones on the bus going to work and coming home. I would mute half the people in my office who have no idea of what is a well-modulated voice.

OMG if there was such a thing I'd fast forward THRU EVERY HOLIDAY SEASON......egads, the ads, the hype about shopping, give to this, give to that, etc.   PHOOEY........

also the hottest days of summer and the bitterest cold days of winter.........

I'd mute any political speaker, no matter who it was.........

and mute all totally asanine hip hop music........all country western music,,,,,,,,,all sitar music.....(is there a MORE annoying musical instrument?????).......Xmas carols.....all of 'em!!!!..........noisy kids.......

Thank you for the compliment Sharonna. I appreciate it. The only holiday season I'd fast-forward through is Christmas. It is nothing but greed with all the parties and spending money and commercialism. It disgusts me. Its true meaning barely gets through in a wink and then its gone. Bah Humbug and a pox on the house of all those who look forward to it each year because they LOVE to get presents and open presents and use presents and return presents and exchange presents and brag about all the presents they got  and buy presents ! :( Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday and the other ones I don't mind so much.
