Putting aside the questionable ethics of such a thing viz. separation of religion and state, two questions:
1. How would that even be accomplished?
2. Which denomination, ie Baptist, Catholic, Lutheran, Methodist et al?
don't think you are right on this one!!!!
prayer belongs in your place of worship, your home, and your heart..NOT IN PUBLIC AND SURE AS HELL NOT IN CONGRESS, ETC.
even Jesus said that when you pray, to go into your room and close the door!!! so what's with these christians who don't even know that much about what the founder of their religion had to say about it??????????
and prayer does not belong in school.....that's what church is for!!!!!!!! the ten commandments? again, another religious thing that should NEVER EVER be part of our legal system, etc......
end of lecture....lol........
Hello my:
Well, to be fair, if you co-opt the public square, you ARE establishing it as the official religion.. Unless, of course, you open up the public square to ALL religions. However, I don't think you'd be comfortable with a Muslim display right along side the 10 Commandments..
I'd be happy to be wrong.

Simple: The Christians can stay. Everyone else gets deported to Northern Siberia.
It already is. Who are we kidding?
From the link:
We believe in American exceptionalism.
We believe the United States of America is unlike any other nation on earth.
We believe America is exceptional because of our historic role — first as refuge, then as defender, and now as exemplar of liberty for the world to see.
and later:
People want and expect an America that is the most powerful and respected country on the face of the earth.
Is anyone else getting chills of "Manifest destiny" reading this ?
Yet...the first thing congress does everyday is pray. The very first action they did as the Congress of the USA was to appoint a chaplin to lead a daily prayer....which is still done today.
The 1st amendment guarentees every American the right to freedom of religion and freedom of speech etc. That gives any student the right to pray if they want. Those rights do not stop when they enter a public school.
The Ten Commandments are built into our Supreme court building. So much for not part of our legal system.
Yes Jesus did say go into your closet to pray. But yet Jesus prayed in public. How do we know what is right, what did Jesus actually teach us about prayer. If you look at the chapter where Jesus told us to pray in our closet, He was talking about those people who prayed in public not to worship God but to be seen and be rewarded by the public. Those who go to church to make business contacts etc. IF you are using God to get things from people here in this life that is the only reward you will get. We can pray in public if we want as long as we are doing it to worship and communicate with God. We are told to bless (pray) over our food. How are we supposed to do that in a public restaurant if we cannot pray in public? Jesus did not own a house---how was He supposed to pray only in His closet? (Hint: it is not always room in your home)
Lecture completed...you left out alot of vital information.
As long as the Muslim display does not say Blow up as many infedels as possible to get you 72 virgins...etc.
Actually the Koran has the 10 Commandments in it.
Only if they are terrorists, criminals etc.
You have a problem with what you just posted???
Yes. America is a Christian country it was founded that way. It is just not the official religion, everyone is free to attend or not attend whatever church/temple/mosque etc they want.
Violent criminals...
We all know what a criminal is. Self defense is not a criminal. Terrorists are criminals, people who commit violence against others are criminals.
Yes we could pass stupid laws to create a criminal...that is why our wonderful exceptional country has the balance of power it does. To prevent such acts.
Good job spreading lies/propaganda. Do you work for Pravda or the Volkischer Beobachter?
I hate to break the news to you but as long as teachers continue to give tests (especially "pop" quizzes) there will continue to be prayer in school. True story . . .
