What is the real name of the Intelligent Designer?

Joe, Fred, Sandra, William..? Whoever invented the concept should know. Always using the handle 'Intelligent Designer is kind of awkward.

    His name translate as "I am". I suppose it was the best name he could come up with for himself. Adam did much better with "Antelope"

    'I Am' is God which means supernatural creation.  ID people have said the Intelligent Designer is not God of creation -but their scientists at the Discovery Institute try very hard to discredit evolution.

    Yes, and also opens up the infinite regress of "So who created God, did he evolve? Or was he created by a senior super-duper God?"

    Of course the regression can be terminated at any point by choosing 'evolved', but I dont think The Discovery Institute will want to do that, better some mystical mumbo-jumbo about "always Was" or whatever.
