Is it ironic that after all the Russia collusion hysteria....it has now been admitted that Hillary and the DNC were the ones involved?

Why would the push for an investigation when it was gonna lead to them?

  • The Clintons are a blight, a malignancy, a pestilence on the world stage. Such corrupt people usually hang themselves after a time when given enough rope to do so. Many have known since 1992 that this time was coming.

  • There's a pattern in these things. I had a friend who was elected to state wide office. It started out as I'm too smart to get caught. That moved to the next level which was I'm better than everyone else so they'd better back off. It ended with the belief that unethical, immoral and illegal activity was something he had a right to. He ended up serving 10 years in federal prison.

I note that in recent years the trend seems to be to use investigations  as a tool for trying to oppose and discredit anyone you don't happen to like or agree with.  Trump foes fall all over themselves trying to find connections while T supporters just yawn.

True, they have turned into a political tool to attack rather than to learn anything.

GOP spin about the new ‘Steele Dossier’ story is disingenuous nonsense...

There may be no talent the Republican Party and the conservative movement have that is more astounding than the way they are able to take a ludicrous idea with zero relationship to actual facts, light a fuse on it, and turn it into an explosive firework of spin that manages to confuse everyone who tries to look at the issue that started the whole controversy.

Elias and his law firm, Perkins Coie, retained the company in April 2016 on behalf of the Clinton campaign and the DNC. Before that agreement, Fusion GPS’s research into Trump was funded by an unknown Republican client during the GOP primary.      https://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/plum-line/wp/2017/10/25/gop-spin-about-the-new-steele-dossier-story-is-disingenuous-nonsense/?utm_term=.60eba4e5b3c0 This post was edited by Beans/SilentGeneration at October 26, 2017 8:53 AM MDT

Yes, it was started by an establishment Republican.
Then took over by Clinton and DNC before Steele became involved.  Steele was fed the false information by the Russians so Clinton/DNC paid for false information from the Russians.

Now when it was claimed that  Trump Jr simply took a meeting with a Russian who claimed to have info on Clinton (a meeting where he did not pay and did not believe or use this Russian informatio) it was called by the left proof of collision and even treasonous.
Why? Is it not the same for Clinton who both paid and believed and used said Fake information? This post was edited by my2cents at October 27, 2017 4:44 PM MDT

ANYTHING detrimental against Trump supporters is either FALSE or FAKE.

Information in the report has already been proven FALSE using the lawyers passport.

If it's proven that Trump and/or his campaign colluded with the Russians to affect our elections, does it matter who paid for the information?

It was Clinton using the false info not Trump. Trump people ignored false info given to them by Russians.

As far as I can tell, Mueller is still investigating, so it's conceivable that some portion of what's in that dossier could be factual.

What is funny....is that even if rhey can prove collusion of either candidate with Russia...there is no law against it.

If they colluded to interfere with the election, I'm pretty sure that's against the law.

    Right . . .

Mueller is in the crosshairs for the Clinton / Ruskie Uranium deal, among a variety of other "questionable" activities, as is his boss; so he's clean and impartial . . .

    Seems legit . . .

And that "something could still turn up sounds more like wishful thinking that something that's probably going to happen. Best guess is now that "they've" turned up a Hil-LIAR-y connection to Russian collusion chances are that they're going to quietly back off (while still bilking the taxpayers for the "costs) in fear of finding yet more damaging information for the Dems.

    IF.

So far there hasn't been, only that the Russians wanted to and Trump said no. But it has turned up the malfeasance of the Dems and Hil-LIAR-y in that same arena, collusion with the Russians. As to that "who paid for it" . . . it's starting to look like she and the party may have even violated campaign finance laws with that little purchase.

In fact, if the source doesn't matter anymore so long as the information is true lets have another look at what Wikileaks has on Hil-LIAR-y. Combine that with her violations of the espionage act (a lot of those "erased" e-mails about Chelsea's wedding plans have been recovered and there's a number of classified government e-mail scattered throughout) there's very likely enough evidence to put her under the jail . . .
