    No, that’s not true. Treason is putting the interests of a foreign power BEFORE the interests of your own nation.

    Nations cooperate for mutual benefit all the time. It isn’t treason. Treason begins with hatred of your country and the desire to harm it. It‘s a crime of INTENTION.

    Different groups/ individuals often have interests that align. Just because interests align and both parties are pulling in the same direction, doesn’t prove collusion let alone treason. People often do the same thing for different reasons.

    And yet again . . . you make a false statement in the form of a question . . . 

    And by your definition every US soldier in WWII was guilty of treason when they cooperated with other members of the Allies.

    I suggest that you consult a dictionary, Black's in particular if you're looking for the "legal" definition.
