For Mary Tyler Moore fans. Remember the episode where she was hysterically laughing during a funeral? Is there a funny in everything?

All you have to do is look for it and you will find it.  It was the funeral of "Chuckles the Clown". I don't know if laughing at the funeral of a clown is better/worse than laughing at any other funeral.

Humour can be still funny in most all situations Rosie....... Humour is only bad in situation where it's used solely to belittle or hurt the obey it's aimed at ......
People often recant on a funny situation that the deceased played a hand in before they died......laughter then hurries the healing process......
There is though always a line one must not pass over.....

Humour breaks the ice in almost all situations ,just so long as the timing is right....xx

I think both intention and the target of the humor are key. I agree with thee. I don't like humor at the expense of others when you single them out by name.  Don't know if you're familiar with the so-called comedian Don Rickles. He made a living attacking famous people. Frank Sinatra was a fan. I never was. I think poking fun at HUMAN foibles that we all share is fine. Poking fun at oneself is fine. But poking fun at a named individual and including cruelty/disrespect/insult? Not fine. Thank you for your reply and Happy Tuesday! :)

If I compare Trump to Tony Blair do you really think anyone would get the point? Comparing Trump to Hitler? Everyone gets that NJ. There is no point in talking about things folks can't relate to if you want any feedback from them. Now usually I say what I have to say and don't expect any feedback at all. When I get it, providing it is civil, it can be very helpful and I appreciate it. I always ask the questions I want to ask using precisely the words I want to use. I have no problem articulating my thoughts.. I often get suggestions from folks with regard to how my questions could be improved. I pay no attention to them.  If they like the question fine. If they don't fine. I ask them for me and maybe out there somewhere the question I ask will appeal to someone as it is who will respond and before you  know it we have a conversation going on that is pleasurable to both of us. No disrespect intended to you at all NJ. It's just that your pointing out that there are others who were responsible for far more deaths is informational to be sure but nothing else. I think you (perhaps you already do) should ask all the questions you wish exactly as you wish using the examples you wish. You can offset any of my questions that you think are inadequate. I don't mind at all. Once I ask a question I forget about it unless someone responds. Whatever appeals to you is fine with me. Thank you for your reply. I guess it is ranked somewhere between 'laughing at the funeral of an undertaker' and 'laughing a the funeral of a mother in law'.
