Newt Gingrich is supposedly a VERY SMART guy. He has been very silent of late. I wonder why?

The GOP needs a guiding hand attached to a very intelligent brain to get them through to the promised land.  Someone who will take over now and set the ship of state upright. The Steve Bannon plan got shot down in flames on election day Tuesday. In 2018 the GOP better have a better plan. Whom do you think should be DA PLAN MAN(or WOMAN) for the GOP? If it were thee what would be your first move? Why?

    John Edwards' wife Elizabeth was dying of cancer when he was running for prez and had a pregnant mistress to boot. I think he takes the cake for sleaze but the neutered one is a very close second. Thank you for your reply Sbf and Happy Thursday! :)
