Well what I have to offer probably won't be original, but it's true.
WRITE EVERY DAY (as someone already said!!) whether you feel like it or not, WRITE...even if it's one page.........
Observe everything around you for ideas, unless you already have one or more.....
write what you feel......
set it aside for a day or two.
then go back and read it again.
then EDIT EDIT EDIT ................let's face it, no one writes anything decent without its ever having to be read and re-read and edited & edited again...even me! LOL..,,,you already know this, but it's always worth repeating.......
and best of all, one of my very favorite philosophies of 'life' that I've lived with since my 20's and I'm 75 now......:
NO MATTER WHAT YOUR GOAL IS........ ACT AS IF ACT AS IF YOU'VE ALREADY ACCOMPLISHED IT. IN YOUR MIND!!
DO YOU KNOW HOW YOU'LL FEEL WHEN YOU FINISH YOUR WRITING PROJECT? ELATED, EXCITED, PLEASED WITH YOURSELF.
WELLLLLLLLLL..........
FEEL THAT WAY NOW!!
SAVOR THE FEELINGS; MENTALLY AND PHYSICALLY........
HOLDING THE FINISHED PRODUCT IN YOUR HAND, ETC..
ANOTHER THOUGHT:
ALWAYS KEEP THE END RESULT IN MIND.
THIS GOES ALONG WITH THE 'ACT AS IF'.....SORTA HAND IN GLOVE, SO TO SPEAK.
if you do both these things, they will get you over the rough spots...
but DO try to make them a part of your life, everyday!!!!!!!!!
and now I"ll close.
sorry for all the caps but I get a little carried away sometime!!!
