  • No it was celebrated by your forefathers we celebrate Halloween here in England and fireworks go off here on 4th July so it think its a bit of a mix of cultures really

    I think he was a Roman Catholic who tried to blow up the primarily Protestant British legislative offices in the early 18th Century.

    *forefathers. Anyway, I just googled him and according to Wikipedia, the Gunpowder Plot took place in 1605, more than a decade before Plymouth Rock Colony (Massachusetts) was founded in 1620 and more than a century before we had any American forefathers to speak of.
