If society really knew what you might learn would it still promote the study of HISTORY?

    Since when does society know what society wants as if society is a thing with a mind.  What do you suppose?  Society wakes up at a certain time and makes future plans for the day and the rest of the future?

    In many societies it is a crime to study history. For example, any attempt to question the official "Holocaust" story is a social crime in USA and a felony in Germany.
