If she wins the election, she'll get that chance. But nobody should be voted for or elected simply because of gender, race, or religion. That's identity politics and akin to bigotry.

What do you mean "why can't she?"? Who says she can't?

We will have a woman for POTUS one day but Jan 2017 with not be that day.

And she will not loose because she is a woman....she will loose because of the positions she takes on the issues.

They should.  They should have run a qualified progressive female candidate that we could get behind, not this lying and conspiring corrupt Hillary joke thing that is an embarrassment to us. I don't want to see what she can do as prez, she's already ruined the party.  She's done enough.

Would you prefer Trump StuB? He is an old white inexperienced male billionaire. Does that float your boat?. He has zero experience in government. Is ignorant about many things and seems to feel no need to educate himself. This is preferable? Thank you for your reply.

Maybe they will.  Maybe they will.  If they don't, they may see what happens when they let an unstable, entitled, white Bozo be President.

She's not losing a thing.  When she does win, you will spend the next 4 years or 8 complaining about how great Trump is and how bad she is.   Nothing will change.

I see. And despite EVERYTHING your candidate as said over the last year you STI LL prefer him to her? Do you like being referred to as a fat pig? What about a woman who bleeds from eyes and "somewhere else"? Do you like the attack s he has waged on the handicapped? Do you like that he is possibly guilty of TREASON for inviting Russia to hack our emails? Well m'dear if that is your view I have nothing more to say to you. THere is no use talking to you. No matter how egregious and dangerous that man is you stand by him. I cannot make excuses for you any longer. He has revealed himself to be a bigot/racist/misgoynist/LOVER OF A COMMUNIST and still you prefer him? OK. I finally get it. Thank you for you reply m2c and goodbye.

I hoping Americans are smart enough not to give someone a chance because of skin color or gender.

  • I'm voting for the person I feel is the most qualified to serve as president, has the best chance to win, AND honeslty...the lesser of two evils.

That is what it is at this point. My first choice was arguably sabotaged by the very party he was a candidate for. Now it;s time to move on...

What we cannot allow is for Trump to ever set foot in the Whithouse for any reason other than as a ticket holder for a guided tour.

If you or anyone voted for Hillary because she has lady-genitalia, shame on you...SHAME!

No, Rosie, I don't prefer Trump. But that wasn't your original question, and my answer stands. Nobody should be elected simply because of some kind of label or identity. They should be elected or not based on ethics, ideas, and intellect.

Actually, 2 cemts, one of the candidates will win and the other will LOSE. Loose is for tying knots and fitting clothing. Please let me believe that a righty like you knows proper spelling.

Oh, I would very happily vote for a woman for President...if that woman was Elizabeth Warren. I hear a woman named Jill Stein is running on the Green Party ticket. I might also happily vote for her.

If I end up voting for HRC, it will be because I think she is the better of two relatively bad alternatives. I have many concerns about her voting record, her public stances on major issues, and her history of being in the pocket of the Corporatist Kleptocracy (e.g. Goldman Sachs speeches).

And while I think at least SOME of the vitriol directed against HRC is due to sexism (either conscious or subconscious), there is no practical way to separate sexism-based opposition to HRC from other bases of opposition, unless someone explicitly says, "I don't like her because she's a woman." Otherwise, we cannot know an HRC detractor's real motivations.

Yes I still prefer him to her.  She would have to change postitions on so many issues for there even to be a thought of me voting for her.

Has Trump said things that are out of line...yes. I am not going to defend him.

Hillary has called women names as well.....bimbo, sl*ts, narcissistic loony toon, she had people on the payroll who job is was to dig dirt on Bill's women.  She had an server that she used for emails and some of those emails were classified.  Loves Bernie Sanders---communist.

But he is right about the abortion, 2nd amendment, trade deals, immigration, defending us from terrorism, releasing businesses from job killing regulations, taxes,  etc.  and Clinton is not. I vote on issues not the stupid stuff they all say.

    1. You assume people voted for Obama because he was black, and now you assume people should vote for Hillary because she is a woman.
    2. People will vote for the person they believe will make the best leader of this country. They choose the one who exemplifies their own values.

@Thriftmaid. The opposition has demonized her, otherwise, she wouldn't need to be "humanized". That is like how some thought of Obama. It is called discrimination.
