    1. Actually, space was created before Earth formed.
    2. If we had no atmosphere, living things would die, and you won't have any grass growing outside, or people breathing anywhere.

    Yes just about everything would die eventually but long as you are inside you would still have air to breathe for a while.

    Space will return shortly anyway; it was just an experiment.
