Go to JA for your suggestion.  Anyway, you can do all of that.

The things you wish to do ARE possible. It's just not as obvious as perhaps it should be.

To delete a reply, go to the tiny "x" in the upper-righthand corner of the reply and click on it.

To Edit a question or close it to new replies, click on the Options button on the upper right of the question.

To delete a question, you need to send a request to Just Asking.

Because if I answer you and you change the damned question I look like an ass that is why.  But you can change the question.  The edit option is always open.

    Sort of.

Old School answered it correctly. You can delete your answer within 15 minutes and your question is editable forever.

The redesigned site is different and there aren't time limits. You can edit or delete at will. If people start to abuse it, I'll remove editing/ deletion options altogether.

Hey JA, how is the new site coming along? Have you started with the beta testers?

Not yet. The site is kicking my  butt. lol This week, we were down to just some fixes on blogs and on mobile responsiveness. We got through the mobile fixes and the developer started working on the blog fixes and then I realized that the mobile fixes, while perfectly implemented on cell phones, ruined the usability of the site for tablet users. D: The developer is working the the blogs as I type. I don't think he'll go back to the mobile fixes until the start of the week. We're probably still another stinking week away from beta testers. As frustrated as I am that this is taking forever (as I'm sure we all are), I'd rather make sure it's perfect than put something out there that's got known issues, so we'll keep working it until it's behaving.

Just Asking, get that lazy bum Randy D to help out.  He doesn't do anything but bug people about their destitute grandmothers anyway.  Give him something to do.

(What's his deal with everyone's poor grandma?)

As far as not being able to edit questions, kind of a pain sometimes but you must be like a carpenter. Measure twice, cut once.

Thanks the update, and yes the tablet experience will be important as well. I know several members here that are using them. All my best to you and your team of helpers. :-)
