What are the boundaries in what grandparents will be called/named?

I respect everyone and I'm alternative but some are just hurtful.

I'm not sure I know what you mean. All the people in my kids' lives chose their own names. The oddest is "Grandma Grandma," who chose the name because she was "the only grandma that mattered" and didn't feel the kiddos should have to use another name to identify her. *shrugs*

What other names would grandparents be called?

(FYI, we do censor cursing and adult content in the main areas.) O_o

  • When my grandmother was alive I would affectionately refer to her as 'that miserable old bag'

  • We called my Dad's Mom ... "Grandma Donut" since her last name was similar sounding and my sister and I couldn't pronounce it.  She didn't care ...

I think Grandparents should be called whatever they and their grandkids want.

I don't even like the name grandma.  I begged my daughter not to reproduce for that reason.

Want to give examples.  I've never heard a grandparent name that should hurt anyone.
